The Farm

The Farm

Hi there.

My name is Rob, (MW0RLJ) and I am the guy who is lucky enough to live in this beautifull part of the Welsh coast line.
The farm extends to approximately 250 acres and is located entirely within the Pembrokeshire National Park, and is bounded on one side by the coastal path which runs all the way around the coast of Pembrokeshire. The farm is jointly owned and run by myself and my brother, before that it was owned by my father and previously by my grandfather, who moved here from another local farm in 1914.

The farm is a mixed farm which means that we run more than one enterprise. We have a flock of 300 breeding ewes that produce lambs for fattening. We also fatten 40 to 50 cattle every year, more than a few HAM operators (they are very demanding) and we grow 80 to 90 acres of barley.

When i was approached by a few of the guys to host the CQWW contest I was at first a little worried whether we could pull it off ,but we managed it and I look foreward to hosting many more.

The licensed home of Strumble Head DX & Contest Group is at the home of MW0RLJ Rob.

The local scenery here on the Pembrokeshire Coast of Wales really is quite spectacular

Here you can see the view out to see from the field behind the club house.
