As a SWL i did hear you contesting on 40 m friday 23 th of july 2010 in ssb mode. On one of eight admiralty B40(D) receivers. Antenna in the loft.

Lots of static, QRM and fading but good enough to hear you F.A.B. (sorry no SWR equipment only good ears)

best regards,

Nice website and interesting read. Recently moved down to west Wales from Anglesey and had to dismantle my contest station there. Let me know if you need an extra op for any multi single or multi multi contests.

Thank you for a nice QSO. I am using an IC-703 with all of 10 W into a random wire going from my window on the 4th floor down to a small tree by the street, plus a 5 metre counterpoise along the walls in the shack. I have to be careful not to QRM into my neighbours' speaker systems, whether they are for the computer or TV, and so far I have been lucky. Yours were one of the better signals I have received on this setup with an honest 59 both ways, congratulations!

Thanks for the contact from near Fishguard today. I have traced my earliest maternal Davies relatives to nearby St. Dogmaels in the mid-1700s, so I'm always looking to learn more things about the area and contact hams in the area.

Your station works well into Colorado. I only have a 40 meter dipole at 4 meters on the roof for 15 meters and was running about 70 watts. Your hex beam looks quite interesting.

73 and good DXing!
