Diary of Strumble Head DX & Contest Group

CQ WPX RTTY Contest 14/15th February 2009:
Again as with the CQWW RTTY contest Chris -G1VDP - Will be activating the M9W call from his home. TBA on which category or band he will be on.

25th March to 3rd April 2009:
Some of the team will again be meeting at the Farm and getting on air with MC0SHL. We will be erecting some of the antennas and again should be on phone, with maybe some digital modes.

CQ WPX Phone Contest 28/29th March 2009
MW9W will be entering the WPX contest for the first time. We will be on from the farm for a few days before the contest using MC0SHL and probably in the contest doing single band entries. Our initial goal this week will be to move a tower for Rob to have his beam up permanently.

18th July to August 1st 2009 - Including the IOTA Contest.

We are currently in negotiations for activating a rare UK island and will be on air some time within this 2 week period. More to be announced as the information comes available.

CQWW DX RTTY Contest 26/27th September 2009:

The club contest call M9W will be activated by Chris - G1VDP - from his home station during the contest. Bands and category to TBA

RSGB HF and IOTA Convention 9 - 11th October 2009:

Members of the group will be in attendance at this event. Please say hello to them and buy them a beer in the bar, if you ask nice they may even buy one back! 

21 - 27 October 2009:
The club call MC0SHL will be on the air for this week. We will be operating from the "club house" Farm on all bands as and when the antennas are erected in preparation for the CQWW Contest. Please call us and as this will be the official second anniversary of the club we will be celebrating on air with all our radio friends.

CQWW DX Phone Contest 2009 24 - 25 October 2009:
This is the big one. We will be on the air for the whole weeknd using the club contest call MW9W. This will be a Multi/Multi entry with all bands being on the air. We will be trying to beat our score from 2007, and again as this is where the group was born we will be celebrating on air as with the club call MC0SHL.
